Title -  “Pirates of the Pearl Island : Transcending Through Time And Place”
STORYLINE

There was a young Javanese guy born on an island called “The Pearl Island” known as Jaki Suparno. During his life, he had witnessed many kinds of destruction happening in this lovely world, such as the bombing of the great World Trade Centre (W.T.C) in New York, Tsunami in Indonesia, war that happened in Palestine, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq and other kinds of devastation. He wished that he could find a solution to stop the destructions and make this world a better place to live in.

One day, as he was walking alone on a beach on The Pearl Island, he found a pirate’s hat and a big silver compass. As a die hard fan of “Pirates of the Carribbean” movies, he picked the hat and the compass and start wondering how it would be if he was a pirate. He wished that those things that he had found had a secret power. But he didn’t know that those things do have a secret power and the power was so great. The power could change his life, his future, and most importantly, the power could change the world’s future either in the good or bad ways.

While he was playing with the hat and the silver compass, he wished to be in the past, although he was only joking, suddenly he realized that he has been transported through time. Now the journey for him to find a solution for the sake of the world’s future had begun. However, the problem is that he couldn’t control the time but each time he will always be in a place which there will be a historical incident and he will meet many legendary characters in the world history.

This is where the story begins………………

Continue this storyline. Create a performance of not more than 10 minutes, where Jaki Suparno meets a legendary character (please refer to the list for your legendary character). In the performance, Jaki Suparno must not die as his character is continuously played by all participating universities in a sequence.

THE MAIN CHARACTER

NAME                           : Jaki Suparno
GENDER                       : Male (the character could be played by male or female)
COSTUME                    : Jack Sparrow looks alike (Pirate costume)
BAD HABITS                 : Love to bite his nails, have an itchy spot on his body
GADGETS                     : A big Pirate’s hat and a big silver Compass

* SUPPORTING ACTORS: As many as you like, but Jaki Suparno and the legendary character must be included.
